I’m from Turtleford, Saskatchewan (or the bush nearby) and now I live in London. When I was growing up, my teacher parents dragged me around to international schools in Latvia and Poland, and a regular school in Worcester, UK. (Note: Living abroad is a great way to expose your kids to the classics, when they’re the only English books available. Heyo, The Water Babies!)

Then I went to the University of Toronto, where I (surprise!) studied English Lit. I worked at a women’s mag in Toronto for a few years before moving to London, where I work as a book publicist. I also help to run The Book Stops Here with the always hilarious Emma Young.
